The 7 day forecasts for the weekend were very very worrying, but the weather gods knew Waverley was holding their Open Day …… and again blessed us with sensational weather so that we could put on yet another great day of competition and fun activities    

This year we had nearly 360 athletes with the furthest travelled being Portland (a mere 300km away and almost in Sth Aust). The friendly atmosphere and competitive spirit and sportsmanship was outstanding, and many families renewed friendships gleaned over time from Centres far and wide.

Congratulations to everyone who participated, we hope that you enjoyed competing with athletes from many other Centres and we trust that everyone had fun on the day and that you will want to come back next year. We hope that you share your Open Day experience with other athletes from your Centre and that they too will consider attending next year.

Centre Relays again were very exciting with the medal winners coming from Caulfield, Essendon, Traralgon and the host Centre. We hope to have plenty more Centres on board next year !!!
